Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Crew of One, the app at app.getcrewofone.com. Crew of One is operated by Mendoza Digital, in the Netherlands ("we"). By signing in and using the app, you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

What Crew of One is

An assistant for running a YouTube channel. It reads your channel's own numbers, gives you verdicts on your videos measured against your own history, reviews titles and thumbnails, keeps your records, and answers questions in a chat. Crew of One is in early access: features change, some may be removed, and it may sometimes be unavailable.

Advice, not decisions

Crew of One advises. Its verdicts and suggestions come from your data and an AI model, and they can be wrong. You decide what to publish and what to change, and you are responsible for those decisions. Nothing in the app is a promise of views, growth or income.

Your account

You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. If you invite others, such as an editor, you are responsible for who you invite and can remove them at any time.

What is yours

Your videos, your data, your records and what you write in the app stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run Crew of One for you, as described in the privacy policy. When you close your account, that permission ends and we delete your data as the privacy policy says.

YouTube

If you connect your YouTube channel, Crew of One uses YouTube API Services, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. Crew of One only reads your channel and never changes anything on it. You can disconnect at any time.

Using it fairly

Please do not use Crew of One to break the law or anyone's rights, to access data that is not yours, to interfere with the service or its security, or to copy or resell it. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Price

Early access is free unless we have agreed a price with you in writing. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

Ending

You can stop using Crew of One and ask us to close your account at any time. We may end the service, or your access to it, with at least 30 days' notice, except in the case of misuse. Either way, you can ask for a copy of your data first.

Limits of our responsibility

We work to keep Crew of One accurate, available and secure, but provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income or opportunities, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law or responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Crew of One after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
